To be or not to be?

a page that aches for a word,
which speaks on a theme timeless
a song in search of a voice,
which aches to soothe ears
a candle which seamlessly burns,
burning itself to melted remains
a traveller searching water in Thar,
with an unending thirst in eyes
 a bamboo whistling out melodies,
 even when holes are made
a banyan tree in strenuous sunlight
ageing each day to give shade
a man in the mirror,
boundlessly hoping to change
a star shining for no one to see,
fixed at a place to be envied!
a serene mother Earth shouting,
"Look at yourself! Be the Change!"

  1. I like the contemporary tone in your piece.... I kind of miss that in most of the poetry I read these days... Good going
